Explore Malibu began as a passion project.  My love of Malibu was instantaneous - I knew I had found home.  Having lived many places, I know what it's like to be a visitor to a small town.  Some are welcoming and some are not - it's just a fact.  Malibu is magical for most and holds it's own mystique for many.  Explore Malibu is here to help you feel at home and welcome, whether you're here for a short visit or to stay.

My name is Laura Doughty I'm originally from the South - Kentucky specifically, but I made Malibu my home in 2001.  I was like many when my car passed all the garages driving along PCH, wondering what all the fuss was about.  But when my feet hit the sand, Malibu stole my heart.  With 21 miles of gorgeous coastline and mountains crashing into the ocean, the Malibu way of life is something that captures your soul.

I'm a bi-coastal gal who loves to travel with my sweet, Daisy Grace. And if you feel like checking Kentucky out, come stay at my old Kentucky home, seriously - The Grand Home.  So, if you see me around town, feel free to introduce yourself.  I'll make sure you get a good Southern welcome!!
